Have You Been Keeping Up With Your 2013 Goals?

How many goals did you make for your freelancing career this year and have you been sticking with them? I have been trying so hard to stay on track with mine, but with three small kiddos and an active social and family life, I often get derailed. That’s okay, though. I knew when I started my writing and internet marketing business, that my family was going to come first and that it would definitely take me longer to reach my goals.

Here is what I plan to achieve for 2013:

  • Finish my 2 eBooks that I have been working on over the past year
  • Add more PLR to my Private Label Rights site
  • Work diligently on building my subscriber’s lists for my various websites
  • Advertise my copywriting business locally through paid advertisements and fliers
  • Get this site, Freelancing Friends, beefed-up and full of great content and resources
  • Create more video logs (vlogs) for my personal sites
  • Focus more on writing for ME and not spending all of my available writing time creating content for others

So, how am I doing as far as achieving these goals? Well…not bad…so far! I am sure like a lot of you reading this, I get all focused and ready to conquer the new year with all of my goals and visions for success and then it slacks off by summer. This year, however, I vow to not let that happen!

It is definitely hard having three young children at home—especially in the summer—but, I feel as if I use them too much as an excuse to not get my work done and accomplish my goals.

How about you? I would love to hear some of the goals that you have set for yourself for 2013! Also, have you been sticking with them, so far? If not, what is holding you back?

What Are You Known For?

Have you thought about what you want people to think of when they hear your name?  I don’t mean things like, “she’s a caring person” or “she is so funny”…I am talking about the business aspect of what you do!  Think about what you stand for and continue to work on it until your desired results are achieved!  This is such a great idea — not only for taking your business or website to the next level — but, also for your followers to get to know you much better!

I also just purchased the domain name, StacyGaliczynski.com, about 4 months ago to create a more professional portfolio for my copywriting business.  This blog will be an extension to the main writing site and I have no clue what I am going to do with it or what I am going to name this part of the site!  I already have a personal blog, PLR site and many anonymous niche sites, so I am going to use this video challenge to decide where I want to go with this brand-new domain that is focused solely on my name!

How would you answer the following questions for yourself:

  • What vision or end-goal do I have for my main site?
  • How do I want to “brand” myself?
  • What do I want my name to be known for?

How about you?  What do you hope to accomplish with your business or personal sites within the next few months?  Do you use your personal name to brand yourself or did you use a different approach when naming your business site?
